Every year our 6th-8th graders go to an Outdoor Educational Camp to learn many aspects of "living off the land" from dutch oven cooking to archery to canoeing to rock climbing.

the excitement on the kids is just sound real play come down on the bus and they pull in down here and the way they come so excited out of the bus my name is Ed for small I am the volunteer with Washington State Archery Association I want to have fun I want to get engaged in it I don't want to see him sitting back you know bench not wanting to get up shoot a couple times and I want him I want I really do I mean I want to I want to see a smile on their face when they're doing it we have we bring all sorts of different people here to teach the classes we've had our rock climbers and archery people here for all 14 years they told they volunteer their time our survival guys I'm about to 5 years now myself I've been doing Dutch oven probably about 6 years I've kind of I started the camp and did a lot of the administrative pieces and then the Dutch stop and kind of opened up and I said you know it's time for me to give that to my vice-principals on my other teachers and I come down here and do the Dutch oven with the kids and gives me a one-on-one with them I worked at the campus start about 14 years ago I have worked in summer camps a lot growing up in Boy Scouts the activities that I saw the kids do in the participation was something I wanted the kids to be involved and I wanted to have more Hands-On activities and the whole Cooperative or anything and getting outside so I sat down to some of the previous knowledge that I had from Boy Scout days and work Vice principals and we put together a program for camping  my favorite part is yet learning the new scales like Dutch oven and survival and archery I think those were great life skills my name is Dylan and maker I was getting to see you like all the kids out there outside of a school environment and my funeral to have fun messing around and  not get out of the calendars on and have fun my name is Jamie and I like the campfires because he's like this gets and songs and Safa helps kids get out of their comfort zone see something different it's probably like one of the best experiences of my life be here someone's friends
