Our CSTEM garden in action! Students harvest the fruits of their labors to donate to our local (St. Vincent de Paul) Food Bank pantry.

that student started plant back in right before spring break they said planting from seeds for the seeds and then that was inside we let the seeds grow up in the hallway by the coffee shop where it's nice and warm and then we planted everything member our spring was really wet until we planted in May for them to see that stuff and now they're picking tomatoes that won't quit they started that so that's pretty exciting so we got produce out here and out of cucumbers a ton of tomatoes onions have already been picked the kids take care of the garden and they read it and they send things and they come with their parents all summer but really the whole thing is for Saint Vincent De Paul we had green beans lots of green beans this summer so instead of their clients getting canned beans now they're getting fresh green peas it's good for them not to have stuff in the shop soon by getting the money nice found diet of veggies and the way better than canned tomato soup so that's another nine and a half pound in our mission at the school is to love serve God and this is serve this is getting your hands dirty this is when it's 90° outside they're out here working and they find that produce and they know it's going to feed kids just like that or parents or anybody who's struggling so I think it's a heart matter but I mean they're learning that things grow not every kid gets to grow up with a garden at home so they're learning where their food comes from and I think that's important to last year we just had the the beds with dirt and we still produced 450 pounds of produce last year this year the landscape is new the greenhouses news we're just going to get better and better at it it's it's going to keep growing
