Schoolwide Learning Expectations/Profile of a Graduate

The St. Thomas More School learning expectations flow directly from the School Philosophy. We strive to assist each child in the development of his/her potential spiritually, socially, intellectually, and physically.

 

Spiritually

  • A student who actively displays Christian values--compassion, justice, and respect for the dignity of life and human diversity
  • A student who demonstrates knowledge of the Catholic faith: its creed, traditions, and rituals
  • A student who demonstrates knowledge of the Bible and possesses basic scriptural study skills
  • A student who knows how to pray using various forms and methods in order to build a personal relationship with God
  • A student who celebrates with the community of believers through Eucharist, common prayer, and participation in the Sacraments
  • A student who demonstrates the spirit of service by sharing their talents, gifts, and skills with the greater church community
